Frequently Asked Questions

Browse common questions and simple fixes to keep your TurfToDo experience running smoothly.

How do I set up my lawn profile?
Setting up your profile is quick.
  • Enter your email
  • Create a password
  • Pick a name for your lawn
  • Enter your zipcode
  • Choose your grass type
  • Choose your soil type
  • Enter the size of your yard.

TurfToDo will then use this info to build a simple, accurate routine that fits your lawn and climate.
How does TurfToDo build my schedule?
Your schedule is created using your lawn profile, local weather patterns, and common maintenance routines. TurfToDo adjusts tasks automatically when conditions change so your plan always stays relevant and helpful.
Can I edit or change my tasks?
Sort of. Currently, you can post pone (move your task by a day) , skip (removes this particular task instance but not similar future tasks), or complete tasks (mark the task as finished) anytime. TurfToDo is meant to do the scheduling, so you don't have to. But obviously everyone's schedule is different and making minor changes that fit your week helps you continue your lawns plan without breaking your overall routine.
Why did my schedule change?
Schedules update when weather shifts or when seasonal patterns change. This helps keep your tasks realistic and timed for the best results without you needing to track conditions yourself.

(If your schedules are changing outside of normal weather or seasonal conditions, please contact our support team so we can ensure Turf ToDo is providing you with the most accurate and smooth experience).
How do reminders and notifications work?
You’ll get reminders when tasks are due or when something important changes. You can turn notifications on or off, or simply visit the app to see what's in store for the day/week/month.
Does TurfToDo work for all grass types?
Yes. TurfToDo is designed to work with all common lawn types. If you’re not sure what you have, you can still use the app — your schedule will still function well based on your region and weather. Future updates will have grass identifiers to help you identify your grass if you are unsure. For now, we suggest snapping a quick photo of your lawn and asking an AI or Google Image search.
How do I report an issue with the app?
If something isn’t working right, head to the Support page and send us a quick note. Include as much detail as you can so we can look into it and follow up with you. You can also email us at: info@turftodo.com
Can I use TurfToDo for multiple lawns?
Yes. You can add more than one lawn if you manage different areas, like a front yard and backyard. Each lawn gets its own schedule.
How do I reset or update my lawn data?
You can update your lawn details anytime from your profile settings under the "More" navigation. Follow the onscreen directions for you specific purpose. Changes take effect immediately and your schedule will adjust automatically. Keep in mind, the season, date, location and all of that will still play a factor ( for example if you reset your lawn data: your schedule should start a new schedule based on the time of year, temperatures, etc.)
Is my data private and secure?
Your information stays private. TurfToDo only uses your data to run the app and improve your experience. We don’t sell or share your personal information. For more information visit our Privacy Policy section of the website.
What if I don’t know my grass type?
Future updates will have grass identifiers to help you identify your grass if you are unsure. For now, we suggest snapping a quick photo of your lawn and asking an AI (ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, etc) or do a quick Google Image search.
How accurate are the weather adjustments?
TurfToDo uses trusted weather data to adjust your schedule when conditions change. While no forecast is perfect, the app focuses on practical shifts — like rain, heat, or temperature swings — to help keep your tasks realistic and well‑timed without over-promising precision.
Can I skip or postpone a task?
Yes. If you’re busy or conditions aren’t right, you can skip (remove the current task, but not similar future tasks in your schedule) or post pone a task (postponed tasks are simply delayed by one day and automatically shifts all other tasks by one day to avoid tasks stacking up). TurfToDo will adjust your routine so everything stays on track without adding extra work.
Does TurfToDo replace professional lawn care?
TurfToDo is designed to guide your everyday lawn routine, not replace professional services. It helps you stay organized, understand what’s next, and keep things running smoothly — whether you handle the work yourself or use a lawn service.
